A

Add

Increasing position size after the initial entry. On Jarvis, only allowed if the next tag still confirms and the exposure cap permits.

ATM · At The Money

An option whose strike price is at or very near the underlying's current price. Highest gamma, often the contract Jarvis recommends on a LONG.

C

Chasing

Entering a position after the bulk of the move has happened, usually because you missed the first leg. Source of most round-trips.

Chop

A sideways, low-conviction market. The platform stays quiet through chop. Don't trade it.

L

Level II

Real-time bid/ask depth beyond the inside spread. One of Jarvis's seven inputs.

LONG

A Jarvis tag indicating the platform's read aligns upside. Size in, stop set, take the trade. One of three signal tags.

R

Revenge Trade

A trade taken to recover a recent loss, sized off emotion, not setup. The single biggest source of the discipline problem Jarvis is built for.

Round-Trip

Riding a winning position back to flat (or worse) because you couldn't walk away. Logged in the JarvisLIVE post-mortem out loud.

S

Setup

The market condition that justifies a trade. Jarvis prints LONG or SHORT to tell you whether the setup is real.

SHORT

A Jarvis tag indicating the platform's read aligns downside. Size in on the opposite side, stop set, take the trade.

Size In

Entering a position at the size your risk rules say, not the size your gut says. Same word the desk uses.

Stop

A price at which you exit a position to limit loss. Jarvis suggests one based on the tag's invalidation level. You set it on your broker.

V

Volatility

How much an instrument's price moves. High volatility ≠ good setup. Jarvis tags include IV-aware filters for options.

VWAP

Volume-Weighted Average Price. The dominant intraday reference for the day's bias. Always shown on Jarvis charts.

W
